This is a very active operating event in North America and would be a good opportunity for EU<>NA S2S. It also coincides with the Helvetia Contest so hopefully there may be some HB9 SOTAs also QRV. I hope to work some of you from W4C/EM-021 (8 points) during the contest!
I plan on being active from W2/GC-002 (10points) and hope to work you Bill. I also would be particularly interested in S2S across the pond if there are any Europeans active on 20M or 15M after 1500Z. The later in the day the EU activation, the more NA S2S opportunities will exist (depending on propagation of course) as western summits come active.
Good idea trying to re-achieve Helvetia award with SOTA only. GE (Geneva) will be difficult because there is no high enough mountain (they are all in F). For Helvetia Contest I was informed about following activities so far: http://uska.ch/amateurfunkpraxis/contest/info-kw/standorte-h26-kw/
Registration is not mandatory but I wouldn’t expect too much SOTA activity from HB9.
More success could bring NMD (National Mountain Day) on 21 July 2013 (always the 3rd Sunday in July) between 6 - 10 UTC on 80m and CW only. Best would be to arrange some skeds just after NMD on a higher band.

Gruesse Dominik!
Too bad about GE…maybe the 4U1ITU building would count? Oh well I will still try for 25. Enjoy the warm WX in C6!
