Over the last few years, I’ve made all sorts of contacts, however, this mornings activation of G/SP-013 Gun, must go down as one of the more interesting.
Amongst the many VK contacts…
A contact with Ernie VK3DET, who was camping out in the bush and working with his FT-817 and linked dipole at just 15 feet.
A contact with with John VK7BO in Tasmania, which is never easy to find on a SOTA activation. John was formally G3OSB and what a wicked signal he was putting out.
And last but not least, a long rag-chew with Dave VK2BSY, who was working pedestrian moblie by the sea, not too far from Wollongong. A wonderful signal from Dave, who was formely G6HZN/G4RKW. Daves /pm set-up can be found here…
