Grey areas indeed regarding access but also be careful that the activations would comply with SOTA General Rule 3.1.7.3.
Good luck.

Can anybody comment about gm/ss-236 - corse hill, it looks like a
potential if I can ride up there, along with gm/ss-174 common hill?
Both are wind farm access roads and the gates are definitely locked. I would therefore anticipate access by motorised transport to require consent. There is ample parking at the entrance to both. Again I have reported on these two on Summitsbase (Rolling News Archive). If you want quick access, look for summits like SS-254 Cairnpapple Hill. I gather SS-242 Benarty Hill and SS-276 Moncreiffe Hill are quite easy summits on foot, but I haven’t activated those yet.
Will be listening out for you. Let’s hope we have some decent conditions!

lol, I like that approach.
Well a wee update for you all, I went to Hoy but was limited by ferry times so only activated one summit, but I have time and reason now to return as Im thinking about visiting the ‘Old Man’ too. I activated one mainland summit and today am activating Blochnie Fiold on Rousay. Good bike tracks with typically a good 1Km+ walk at the end of the track so no risk of breaching the car rule!
A few days left on holiday so a few more summits to be planned and enjoyed.
Hopefully catch some of you readers on air, already spoken to one who has not posted but has been following.

Denis, I’d appreciate a S2S if possible whilst I’m in the Tongue/Bettyhill area this week. Maybe possible on 2m FM if it’s too close for 40m.
