I am thinking of buying a VHF amplifier (the one in title) for use with my FT60R and FT818. I considered just buying a mobile rig but it looks like power consumption and therefore battery weight will be significantly less with the HT/Linear Amp combo. Is this a good amplifier? In the instructions for the amp it says to make sure it’s legal in your country (USA) I’m assuming it is. DXengineering is selling it in the US.
