In reply to -M3XIE:

  1. G/SP-004 - 126 - 9.6km [48]
  2. G/SP-013 – 78 - 14km [98]
  3. G/SP-015 – 53 - 9.9km [565]
  4. GW/NW-044 - 49 - 74.4km [10]
  5. GW/NW-051 - 47 - 74.5km [9]
  6. G/SP-010 – 46 - 47.7km [7]
  7. GW/NW-042 - 38 - 77km [11]
  8. G/SP-005 – 32 - 68.5km [4]
  9. G/SP-001 – 31 - 23.2km [11]
  10. GW/NW-043 - 30 - 73.2km [11]

Interestingly, albeit arguably predictably, these are some of my most activated summmits as well. The figures in square brackets give the number of times I have activated each one.

In reply to -M3XIE:
1st Gun = 62, 2nd Shinning Tor = 57, 3rd cloud = 38 Peter M1CNL

In reply to -M3XIE:

Here are my top summits:

  1. Titterstone Clee…48 chases…51 km.
  2. Brown Clee…43 chases…51 km
  3. Gun…41 chases…82 km.
  4. Shining Tor…39 chases…94 km.
    5= Walton Hill…37 chases…16 km.
    Moel Famau…37 chases…125km.
  5. Foel Fenlli…35 chases…123km.

Of all these only Walton Hill is in reliable range for 2m FM - which makes a big difference! The Clee Hills can give S9 or no signal on FM, I think it is a matter of where the operator positions himself on the hill.

Looks a bit different from my side:
LA/TM-049 (Holtankollen) 8
Z3/WM-046 (Krstovar, Vodno) 6
HA/KM-029 (Iharos) 5
HB/ZH-015 (Altberg) 4
DL/AM-060 (Laber) 3
G/SP-015 (The Cloud) 3
DM/SX-001 (Fichtelberg) 3

I am not a regular chaser and mostly qrv on HF.

So let’s do this properly…

Goto SOTA Database and you will be prompted to login if you are not already. This shows your awards and now some status info as well. Near the bottom of the page, it depends on how big your awards details are, you will fine 4 tables showing.

My top chased summits: the 10 summits you have chased most often.
My top chased activators: the 10 activators you have chased most often.
My top activated summits: the 10 summits you have activated most often.
My top activation chasers: the 10 chasers you have worked most on activations.

You can also reach this page by clicking the “Show Awards” button on your activation or chaser log pages.

And next time I update the server I wont abort an ftp session and thus bork the files!

Andy, MM0FMF
Database Manager.

Awesome upgrade to the SOTA Database Andy - respect!

In reply to MM0FMF:
in a word: Absolutelybloodybrilliant!
Thanks Andy for adding some more fun to SOTA for those of us that like figures (and numbers too).

And of course thanks to Dave M3XIE for coming up with the basic idea.

Thanks for the upgrade Andy and so quick thank you,

In reply to MM0FMF:
Andy,
Thanks very much; I can now short cut the task of working out who my main chasers were for the Goat.

Another useful enhancement, thanks Andy. However (!) the database menu system looks a bit like a dog’s dinner. I would welcome the introduction of a drop down menu for all things personal and a separate one for programme wide stats. Others will probably have better ideas.

Very good Andy, fair play I like it.

In reply to MM0FMF:
Heh. Good one. Saved a lot of burrowing. It seems my top two places are:

  1. 245 kms G/SP-013 Gun (5) - 3 on 7 MHz, one each on 3.5 MHz and 21 MHz
    2=) 106 kms G/SE-001 Walbury Hill (3) - 2 on 5MHz, one on 7 MHz
    2=) 188 kms G/SC-010 Dundry Down (3) - 2 on 7 MHz, one on 5 MHz
    2=) 246 kms G/WB-003 Stiperstones (3) - on 21 MHz, 7 MHz and 3.5 MHz
    2=) 258 kms GW/SW-007 Fan Nedd (3) - 2 on 7 MHz, one on 5 MHz
    2=) 2374 kms SV/AT-033 Pergari (3) - all on 14 MHz

…though the two contacts on 21 MHz were actually from Kenya, so the distance was nearer 7050 kms.

In reply to MM0FMF:

Excellent Andy, a great addition to the database.

Thanks

What a useful function Andy.

Shame that its introduction is hidden in an obscurely-titled thread. I saw “One for the casers” and assumed it was aimed at oenophiles!

73 de Les, GV3VQO

In reply to G3CWI:

I think that is actally a very positive criticism Richard. The menu structure has “grown like Topsy” and could do with some rationalisation and reorganisation. I did try to play with some dynamic menus where the items changed depending on whether you were logged in or not but it didn’t really work. It certainly needs some work though.

In reply to MM0FMF:

Its not a priority at all, Andy, as it does work - you can find what you want in seconds. A fine enhancement, browsing through the tables offers some interesting insights: for instance I had no idea that Kinder Scout would figure in my top ten, or that I had worked Robin 7PKT so often!

Brian GV8ADD (I’m getting fed up with this GV prefix, thank Heaven that it only has a couple of weeks to run!)

From G4OBK Chaser log (2005 - 2013)

Most often chased summits:

  1. HB/ZH-015 Altberg 63 valid QSOs (Mostly Jurg HB9BAB)
  2. G/SP-015 The Cloud 50 valid QSOs (Mostly Tom M1EYP)
  3. G/SP-004 Shining Tor 47 valid QSOs (Mike 2E0YYY + others)

Thanks Andy MM0FMF for an interesting addition to the My Awards page, your talents never cease to amaze me!

My top 5 chasers on all activations

1 G6ODU 221
2 M3XIE 183
3 G4ZRP 154
4 G3XQE 147
5 M1CNL 97

Amazingly, it looks like Rich N4EX may come in at number 11 with what I think is 83 contacts!
