OE5AUL/P in OE/SB-287 sudden disappearance

Dear chasers,

Sorry for disappearing from the frequency, but - you can laugh out loud, if you like - my LIFEPO4 battery refused its support on the third summit (OE/SB-287)today.
So I did three QSO’s: EA2DT, G0RQL and G6TUH. The activation is not valid for me. I could not finish G4UXH and sorry for all the others. Normally I do not stop operating as long as stations are calling.
What I’ve learned: never start out without a fully charged battery.

Hello Peter,

Thanks for the three summits today. The last one on SB-287 you will know from my report that there was heavy QRM for me - I thought you had just QSYed to another, unknown to me, frequency.

I am sorry you did not get a fourth contact. Always another day.

Hello Peter,

What about to take a 2 Meter hand-held with you, just in case of possible
problems with HF gear ? This was my solution to complete in a similar situation.
