I thought that those of you that are interested in near NVIS propagation, either from summits or from home, might be interested in a spreadsheet published by Greg Mossop G0DUB of the Raynet-HF Team. It allows look up of the MUF on path lengths up to 1000Km based on the critical frequency and layer height. This is a fairly simple calculation but Greg has presented the data in tabular form for for easy look up. It is available as an Excel (or Open Office) spreadsheet or as a PDF. There will be changes to improve the accuracy on the longer paths but it is already a useful tool.
