This a short video of our SOTA team who hiked Almagre Mtn (12,367’) on August
17, 2011 to activate the summit for Summits on the Air (SOTA) via ham radio.
Team members were Naomi/SOTAlogger, Chuck/N6UHB, Steve/wGØAT, Maggie/Lead Guide,
Mike/Expedition Photographer, and last but not least our faithful Sherpa goats
Rooster and Peanut who did the old goat’s heavy lifting. Equipment was K2 and
Buddipole Vertical Dipole.
Visually documented by Mike using Chuck’s vintage point and shoot Canon on low
resolution. Please note Peanut edited this video using iMovie (not his preferred
editing program but Final Cut is having issues with Mac’s new OS at the moment!)
