New Server

In reply to G8ADD:

Hi Brian,

If you could re-post that one here, that would be good. It looks like it got posted just after the data transfer.

Thanks Mick. I’ll have to work on this.

Also, the cron for the email digest needs setting up.

Hi Jon

…What spellchecker? Have I been missing a feature all this time or is it new?

PS I use Firefox if that makes any difference…

It’s been there for quite a while and works (or rather worked!) in FF as well.

You just need to click the little tick under ‘Your reply’. Wait until I’ve fixed it though!

Jon,

I see the DNS changes have at least started to ripple through.

However as the new server does not have /beta/ in the URL, perhaps it would be good to either have some pages under /beta/ with links to the new location or implement a redirect within the web server so that anyone still trying to access /beta/spots.php or /beta/alerts.php etc gets something other than the dreaded ‘Not Found’ page.

Any news on when the change from WB-001 to SW-041 will be applied to the database ?

Super job on the new server Jon. Really fast.

Just a reminder for people using Webmon…you neded to change the target URL you are monitoring ie remove the /beta

In reply to G0LGS:

Hi Stewart,

Great idea on putting something in /beta. I’ve put a link there.

Regarding the summit change, we just need to wait until Tom is back. If it becomes a serious problem before then, I suspect I could go in and hack something.

That sounds fine, G4ERP had suggested to me that it was probably something Tom would be dealing with on his return, at least we now know something will be happening.

Jon,

Another little glitch:

http://www.sotawatch.org/ and http://www.sotawatch.org/index.php don’t give the same page, (from http://www.sotawatch.org/ you can end up chasing around in circles without getting to the real page).

Hi Jon
spotlite is not going to the new sotawatch only to the old one.

And spots from here to SOTAwatch3

I might be missing something but I can’t quite see what you are referring to. Can you spell it out a little more?

Thanks, Jon

Rats! I knew about this one but had hoped no-one would spot it before I fixed it!

Won’t be long.

Hi Mick,

The old SW1 is now talking to the new server and this also means that Spotlite now works.

Sincere apologies for the missed spots this afternoon because of this.

Jon, Seems ok now - perhaps it was my Browser not refreshing the page.

Jon on clicking a summit reference within a spot I am getting

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mssql_connect() in /home/sota/swbeta/beta/classes/summit.class.php on line 236

Roger G4OWG

In reply to G4OWG:

Same here. The current HB9 entry just gives: Error: summit not recognised

It is the same for alerts.
