Some years ago I added 2m to my bike. You can barely see that I used zip ties to attach the belt clip on the radio to the handle bar.
That’s a nice bike! The next time I get a cracked Ti frame again, I am moving back to steel.
My previous setup used a fibreglass pole held in the seattube of a tagalong bike…i am now tempted to try this setup for hf, with a loaded vertical.
In the photo below, I had stopped on realising the problem with my setup…roads have powerlines crossing them.

From your photos it looks very similar to my ‘classic’ Mercian touring bike made in 1975 with a 5-3-1 steel frame, heavy by modern standards. I bought it secondhand in 1976 for £90. When I took the frame “home” to Mercian Cycles in Derby for a respray about five years ago they had brand new “retro” versions for £2000+.
