Lots of Northamerican SOTAs are being spotted these days at around 19-20 utc
Many of them on 20m and just a few of them are trying 15m.
Conditions for DX with Europe on 15m seem to be great at that time because I’m copying activators on 15m very well and nothing or extremely weak on 20m.
I want to encourage all NA SOTA activators to try 15m at about 19 or 20 utc.
You’ll surely work great DX!

I agree most of the dx SOTA I work to USA is on 15m around that UTC time.
I am now listening for some stations who have been spotted and a can’t hear the chasers or activator on 20m .
ask KX0R he will tell you his success on 15m to vk .

Yes, Ian, I have worked George (KX0R) and congratulated him for his great job several times.
Last March 17th he was coming so amazingly well into here on 15m that I couldn’t resist recording a short movie just to let him see the real S6 he was putting on my S-meter.

North American SOTAs keep being spotted on 20m but they are not yet copyable here. I’m checking 15m in case someone decides to try but only N4EX/P has been copied and worked with good signals here today.

His signal sometimes better than the chaser.
Thanks for that I am watching out for W7USA on 24m but his signal not strong enough to work.

I have been copying him and calling him, as well as a German colleague, but he seems not to copy anyone…
I have even connected my TL-922 but not even QRO he copied me.
Now seems to be gone…

George (KX0R) has been again on the air from another Colorado summit and again his signals on 15m were better than on 20m. I worked him at 21:26z and was again his first contact of today’s activation. I gave him 539 on 15m versus 329 on 20m at 21:52z.
Signal was not as strong today on 15m as on the movie I posted yesterday of last March 17th but Readability was very good and definitely far better than that of 20m.
His 5w rig and endfed LW are still working fine for him and all of us.
I’ll keep looking forward to copying George again soon on 15m from another summit and hopefully other North American activators will decide to try SOTA activations on 15m before conditions change.
