My first ever SOTA activation HM-104 operating as LA/M0SVL

I just wanted to share how delighted I am to have made my first SOTA activation, which I have been planning for some time. I’m in Norway on holiday and had to walk around 12 miles in all to reach the nearest SOTA summit, but I was so pleased to have made the effort despite horrendous weather. I learned a great deal and look forward to becoming more active in the UK on my return! 73s LA/M0SVL

I’m impressed! Not only that you have your first SOTA activation in Norway, but in this weather.
Very IMPORTANT information:
Please note that the area you are in is at danger level 3 (out of 4) in relation to [flooding and landslides]((Flood and landslide forecast | Varsom.no). If you (still) choose to activate more peaks, please be careful!
Please note that the heavy rainfall has caused rivers to flood and a number of roads are closed in this part of the country, including both main roads between Oslo and Trondheim, see here for updated traffic information

Congratulations @M0SVL Rupert and well done on completing your first SOTA activation - be warned, it’s very addictive! also going that extra few miles in a different country really sets the standards! Sorry I missed to call into you, but hope when you’re back in the UK we can make some qso’s, maybe a few S2S :grinning:
