MTB SOTA outing on W6/CT-039

Last week I was to got up to the Big Bear area of Southern California for a bit of camping, biking, hiking and SOTA action. Sugarloaf Mountain is a trail I have ridden long before I got back into radio so it has been cool to have it be a two for one outing these days. MTB-wise it is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I do enjoy its backcountry raw and less trampled feel. Between my fatigue from getting up to the summit along with me trying to run near my max speed I found myself slipping up on the key a bunch. I wonder if the 9,952 feet of elevation played into that as well? Thanks to all the chasers who put up with my butterfingers.

That was interesting how you overlayed the QSOs with your descent! Nice. And thanks for the S2S!
