The weather was again like summer, a little hazy but 28ºC down in the valley.
The temperature lowered as we ascended and there was a nice breeze.

The first third of the ascent was on a boring ugly concrete road and I only took some pictures when we left that concrete road and started walking on grass and rocks:

I setup with my 10m long endfed wire as a sloper to a 9:1 unun and the usual 6m long counterpoise wire just extended on the grass.

The rigs were my FT-817ND at 5W and my MFJ-941B antenna tunner.
I knew there was WPX contest this weekend, so I immediately thought about the WARC bands.

It was great making contacts on 12m with very good signals in most of the cases. I was less than half an hour on the air only today, for a change, because, being with my family, I didn’t want to make it too long.
