There was such a beautiful afternoon today that I convinced my family to go out for a supper picnic in nature.
We went to mount Ezkintza as I activated this Summit last year and I remembered it had a nice flat área with concrete tables and benches.
We arrived there and I quickly proceeded to install the mobile vertical ECO antenna with 2 wire radials on the very tall trig point. I thought this might be a good set-up for DX with Northamerica:
But propagation conditions have not been good at all over this weekend and I haven’t worked any DX. Not so much for the bad propagation conditions but mainly due to the very short duration of the activation.
I could only log 11 QSOs in 7 minutes and that was all, as my wife and children were urging me to finish and leave the place as soon as I had just started.
It was a real shame but so it was…
