Good effort Fraser! Zero shelter up there. What I said during our QSO:
" Fraser, you are a month too late. It was perfect weather when Colwyn & I were up there!!"

Cold summit in North Wales GW/NE-026 Mynydd Mawr. Plenty of contacts but bone chilling cold in the cloud. Iā€™m amazed at how much camp squalor I can generate in under an hour!

Thanks for completing the QSO via the Reflector Gavin.

I seem to be specialising in giving you Completes and Iā€™m always impressed when you reach me on 2m or 20m!

Any requests for the next one?

Cheers, Fraser

Thatā€™s a cracking photo Barry. I havenā€™t seen much in the way of red deer this winter. Maybe theyā€™ve all been shot because thereā€™s now more money in growing trees?

Thanks for the Chase on Glas Maol today. Great to work you at last. 2m SSB & FM were great fun today! I had a great day up there and will report on it next weekā€¦

Hi Fraser - Heard you today on 2m FM from G/NP-007 - but you disappeared into the noise before I could work you. Still very impressive for 2m FM with a jpole . Paul

Hi Paul, yes it was up and down a bit. I was running 35 watts into a 4-ele beam. I worked Don GORQL in Devon on 2m ssb earlier on, which really surprised me! I think thatā€™s about 400 miles.

I was listening for you down in Northampton. I heard something once or twice, probably by aircraft scatter, but the signals were only transient. Well done working Don. I failed on that from Glas Maol, but managed it from Mealna Letter. You win some, you lose some. :grinning:

EDIT - Log check: I did work Don G0NES in Birmingham from Glas Maol. :grinning:

Cheers Gerald. It felt like I was winning yesterday, thatā€™s for sure!! WX was awesome too.

Cheers Don! Highlight of the year so far. I was hoping youā€™d be on. I certainly will try again, thatā€™s for sure. Heavier kit, so it needs the right summit.

We had four transiting Reds on the shoot yesterday (Glenlivet).
Thanks for the qso, I had just swapped out the 23cm beam for the 2m one when I saw your spot so saved me trying to see if GB3NGI was audible (standard test to make sure all connections are in place ). Sorry if I cooked your front end, didnā€™t want to faff about with turning the power down!!!
Oh, a complete as well - thanks
