Congratulations Mark and very well done. The dedication of your achievement to Rob, the passing of whom I only recently found out about, is exemplary. Enjoy the new status - you’ve earned it! MG is a tough and often rough road. Cold too!

Now you start the next thousand. Sorry to mention that.

While we’re on, thanks for LD53 the other day. 73, John

Well done and love the new CW rhythmic callsign….

Thanks Paul. Hot on the heels of @G5TEA Marc I snagged @M5TEA - hoping it will now spur me on to CW proficiency rather than mediocrity!

Nice… now can you imagine a joint CW activation passing the key back and forth where the calls differ by one dit and the names differ by one dit? …carnage

Good timing on whenever you got that call as it seems Ofcom isn’t issuing any M5 calls at present (might be wrong but that’s my interpretation).

Is that because the MI5’s operating in Northern Ireland all sound like secret agents?

I just searched on “MI5 callsigns in Northern Ireland” and Google AI replied:
MI5 callsigns used in Northern Ireland are not publicly disclosed due to the highly classified and secretive nature of the security service’s work. However, historical and operational documents reveal the codenames of specific operations and surveillance units active in the region

Proves my point.

Well done on the Goat, Mark.

I can see that the old call is not a great asset for CW but I shall never remember all these new ones.

Enjoy the next 1000.

Congrats Mark and welcome to the herd. Thanks for the lovely photos, glad you got decent weather for the BIG day. If we can manage a s2s one day (must get back to the LD some time…) I’ll never recognise the new call sign - and probably wouldn’t the old one, now I come to think of it! Keep up the good work. Lots more hills to go up - and you can start them all afresh in January!
