And we’re fully up-to-date! The website http://tomread.co.uk is complete right up to this evening’s Cloud activation! There are 2,653 activation reports across thousands of webpages, covering my (and Jimmy’s) SOTA history over the last 17 years.

New / updated pages:

The Cloud G/SP-015 - The Cloud SP-015
Shining Tor G/SP-004 - Shining Tor SP-004
Gun G/SP-013 - Gun SP-013
Cross Fell G/NP-001 - Cross Fell NP-001
Burnhope Seat G/NP-003 - Burnhope Seat NP-003

The activation report for this afternoon’s “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it” visit to The Cloud can be found on the relevant webpage. I shall see if I can be nice and disciplined now (like several other respected activators), and update my website/blog every time I do a SOTA and simply post the links on here. (As opposed to writing the report directly on here then some months later copying & pasting into my website!)

An update of the six local activations from the past two days. Some nice photos taken by my XYL Marianne during today’s 18km circular route, on the Shining Tor page.

New / updated pages:

The Cloud G/SP-015 - The Cloud SP-015
Shining Tor G/SP-004 - Shining Tor SP-004
Gun G/SP-013 - Gun SP-013

A few updates and even a brand new unique summit page on http://tomread.co.uk / http://sotasummits.co.uk

Gun G/SP-013 - Gun SP-013 - Many activations.
The Cloud G/SP-015 - The Cloud SP-015 - Many activations.
Kinder Scout G/SP-001 - Kinder Scout SP-001 - New circular route from Peep-O-Day.
Disgwylfa Fawr GW/MW-038 - Disgwylfa Fawr MW-038 - New summit for us, and our final GW summit.
Great Orme GW/NW-070 - Great Orme NW-070 - A day out at the seaside!

Please sign the guestbook!

Off to Wales tomorrow, so some good reading here. Just hope the weather plays ball. Thanks!

Good luck tomorrow Martin. I don’t see any alerts, so I wonder where you’re heading? Wherever it is, there’s at least one webpage on my website for it, now that we’ve finished GW!

The weather certainly isn’t playing ball here. It’s 70cm contest night - but it’s dark, it’s grey, it’s raining heavily and I’m hearing thunder.

This couldn’t be more different to the forecast as it stood only 6 hours ago. Thanks but no thanks. Have just disconnected shack antennas, so no guarantee that I’ll even be QRV from home this evening now.

Great walk on Kinder Scout G/SP-001 this morning though with Marianne. Glad we both got out early and enjoyed the good weather that the day offered before the current misery!

Travelling over tomorrow so will decide on Thursday. Staying near Barmouth, weather is up and down! However after a week of marking I need a break!

Yes I do want to revive this topic. Yes I do realise that the previous post was over 1 year ago. Thanks for asking Discourse, but I’m good ta.

Indeed, I’ve found myself in that position, yet again, where i have several hundred activation reports to catch up with for my website. I’ve made a start by completing everything up to the end of last year (2021).

So the ‘new’ pages are:

Moel y Gamelin GW/NW-042 - Moel y Gamelin NW-042
Cyrn-y-Brain GW/NW-043 - Cyrn-y-Brain NW-043
Moel Famau GW/NW-044 - Moel Famau NW-044
Foel Fenlli GW/NW-051 - Foel Fenlli NW-051
Brown Clee Hill G/WB-002 - Brown Clee Hill WB-002
Titterstone Clee Hill G/WB-004 - Titterstone Clee Hill WB-004
Long Mynd-Pole Bank G/WB-005 - Long Mynd - Pole Bank WB-005
Stiperstones G/WB-003 - Stiperstones WB-003
Corndon Hill GW/MW-013 - Corndon Hill MW-013
Gyrn Moelfre GW/NW-049 - Gyrn Moelfre NW-049
Foel Goch GW/NW-039 - Foel Goch NW-039

57 points worth of activations shoe-horned into the final four days of the year. All available mainly resulting from the combination of Lockdown and travel restrictions in the first half of the year, and working away at sea in the second!
