I certainly take it on every activation but only use it if necessary. At this time of year that’s most activations.

My tarp is very light and takes hardly any space. And my large rucksack is much more comfortable than my small one as it has a hip belt.

EDIT: My small rucksack is 30L!

Though I must confess, even my satnav would struggle to get me out of this one. I just entered the SOTA reference in the thread title to test it, and it looks like it’s going to try to take me to Rogans Seat…
