I noticed the following article in the Kleine Zeitung (a reliable source if information) this morning:

Basically, it says that there is no limit on how far one may travel for the purposes of outdoor recreation. I offer it up here for discussion among OE activators, as these things are often contradicted somewhere else. Even if correct, I would suggest that the caveats about avoiding Hochtouren and demanding routes still apply.

I understood the rules this way. No district restrictions are active. But of course avoid endangering yourself and others.

Hi Joe,

This is top important rule everywhere, not only in Austria.
Everybody of us knows very well where can meet more people and where less.
It must be safety rule nowadays.
