I use a variety of units day to day but have been moving to fully metric for walking recently. I’ve always used metres for heights when walking but used to use miles for distance. I’ve been using kilometres for 6 months and so km^2 makes most sense to me. Never having been a landowner nor a farmer I have no feel for acres or hectares.

It’s now strange because if someone was to say “it’s a 13km walk” I’d now how far that was. But a 13km drive still requires some mental gymnastics to convert that to miles!

As an aside, can I assume that the complete lack of spots today, apart from Tom at some ungodly time, is due to rubbish weather over all of Europe and not due to a Sotawatch issue?

The weather map shows a nice anticyclone over much of Europe, perhaps its an early start to the pre-winter bonus lull!

Not everyone gets spotted - I did an activation today. It was a bit breezy.
