Some of you probably have seen the ad on the Banggood site for the KN990 hf SDR transceiver. Looks to be easy to interface with more options than the IC705. Price seems comparable to other hf gear from China.
15 W is useful.
Has anyone got one?

Just watched a comparison of the KN990 to the Xiego G90 from Ham Radio crash course.
It can run some Nintendo game ROMs.
Looks a bit large for portable use - but in shack OK.

Well Ed it’s screen is bigger than the FT817 so I have a better chance of reading it. For portable work it’s weight that counts. The pocket rigs of today won’t fit in tomorrow’s pockets. Pockets in garments seem to shrink 1% per year.
My shirt and jacket pockets certainly have done so.
