Just wanted to chime in here and congratulate Mike K6STR for his Mountain Goat! Mike and Lorene W6LOR have been very active this year knocking out summits near Mammoth and here in SoCal! I’ve had the opportunity to activate a couple of summits with Mike, and his knowledge of astrophysics, ham radio, and space weather are super impressive.
Mike really feels that SOTA hams should celebrate winter! With beautiful scenery, fun ski tours, no crowds, no bugs, plus winter bonus points, Mike is definitely one of those very admirable snow bird activators. Congratulations Mike, and looking forward to your 2x Goat!
