Irish sojourn

Sojourn?? Well, its a nice word!
I had intended to visit the Norbrec rally this weekend, but plans change quickly and I find myself in EI land. Neither hill walking nor SOTA were really on the agenda, but I did manage to bring the necessaries with me (“I’ll bring my rucksack, it will be useful for picnics”) , and have so far managed two activations - Ben of Howth near Dublin, and Torc Mountain in the South West. Many thanks to RBNGate and the 30m CW chasers for 38 contacts in total.
I am hoping to squeeze in one more 30m CW activation on Monday 8th, possibly Arderin EI/IE-019, around midday or early afternoon. I will post an alert on the day if it looks likely, and technology allows…
Limited preparation time saw me bring my 30m dipole, and a reel of wire, but I haven’t yet, and probably won’t have time to make up antennas for other bands, sorry!

Enjoy Norbrec, all,
