Another vote for Ham2K PoLo.
I have used it on the last 4 or 5 activations with an iPad mini. I particularly like the shortcuts that can be typed directly into the callsign input field.
It makes a very slick workflow for spotting, logging and exporting logs.

I tried Rumlog on my iPhone and I found the buttons on the iPhone too small for my fat fingers – especially in a pileup. Then I got an iPad and still didn’t like shifting between numbers and letters. So now I am using an external full sized keyboard and an iPad with Rumlog. This works for me but it is a bit much to carry. YMMV

1000 times no. The author is unresponsive, and it hammered the API until I had to specifically block it.

I was about to start logging with PoLo on my activation yesterday. Then it dawned on me that I couldn’t log exact frequencies. I know I don’t have to - either for SOTA or for my licence - but I’ve always done it so I couldn’t stomach not doing so!
I know you can customise the log type within the app - like for contests etc, so I guess I’ll just need to spend some time with it to get the fields I personally require and be slick at moving between them.

Sure you can log excact frequencies. Just type the frequency in Mhz (dot as comma) in the call sign field and it will change frequency and band. And suggest the mode based on bandplan.

Another vote for Ham2K Polo, I use it for logging, spotting and chasing. I have even taken to using it at my QTH as it is great the way it crosses out stations you have worked (on the spots page) I have tried a few logging systems of the years and POLO is by far the simplest and does what it needed and not much more. There is talk of a windows version.
My flow is:
Log on summit
Screen grab (just to be safe)
Export to google drive once within 4/5g coverage
Log on PC once home
Upload exported logs to locations needed SOTA db, pota db and QRZ
I have discovered POLO is clever enough to reset the ‘chased’ crossing outs the next day if you use the same ‘operation’ as it calls it, handy when at home logging chases as can just upload
once a week.
Oh another good feature is if you enter someone’s callsign and they have spotted on a SOTA it completes the summit details for you 
It does POTA also in the same log and spot screens.

I export to my phone storage then upload to sotadata whilst walking away from the summit within cell coverage.
Make sure those points are logged in case I fall and break my neck!

I’ve never used a logging app before and simply use an old Sony dictaphone with mechanical buttons, which in my case is making logging simpler for most FM contacts. Such approach has certain advantages in a field, but also some great disadvantages. So then I also have Ham2K Polo installed on my phone, but never used it yet. After reading through here I’ve got myself a small 4 EUR stylus from Curries and will try to make a use of it some next time. Wondering if anyone use a mini external keyboard together with a phone and Polo?
