I would not object if we were able to split this thread and move the discussion about modes and power ratio into a new one

This often happens with SOTA reflector topics, i.e.

1. The original topic has been thoroughly explored [or re-explored in this case as CF vs EF antennas has been much discussed on previous threads] and has petered out.

2. Someone introduces a related diversion and suddenly the thread has a new lease of life. It’s only with hindsight that one realizes the new topic could have been a separate thread with a more relevant title.
