Greetings, wondering if anyone had a copy of the last software available for the Icom IC-7000. I have just purchased one but it has the JA 2m band 144mhz-146mhz installed. I want the VK band with 2m that is 144mhz- 148mhz..
Any advice or help will be appreciated.

Apparently the IC-7000 cannot be updated? FW is stored in Mask ROM?
EDIT: Maybe you could Mars Mod it?

there is almost certainly a IC7000 group on groups.iO, join that and use search to look for references to Japanese model vs. US model. You may even be able to read and search without joining the group. Use your existing membership for groups.iO and then find the ic7000 group.

Hi Geoff, I have read that the current JA market Icom radios are unable to have their firmware changed to other country/region versions as it is hard coded into the radio. Uncertain if that also applies to the IC-7000 or similar era radios but from a bit of a look around online I suspect you may be out of luck.
