today nice sota activity with my friend Luca Iz0Fyl on I/LZ-011, Monte i Porcini a very nice Hill 90 km north from Roma in the Terminillo area. We use Recent RS -918 and a HB-1A* & tuner & 9:1 Balun with a random wire & surplus stylus. Good propagation condition so we had 26 Qso in 17/20/40/60 meter using cw and also ssb with a fantastic S2S qso with IW3AGO/P on 7 mhz SSB. Weather was perfect, warm like in september, a perfect sota Day !!
Many thanks for the interesting report Andrea. I have been thinking of trying an activation using my HB-1A and Z11 tuner with a long wire antenna. Hopefully once we end our lockdown.
