High SFI

I see from the solar data on the Zed that SFI is now 170, spaceweather.com updates less frequently and is showing 149. Barring accidents (such as last nights X3 flare) the higher bands should give some fun today.

Brian, I really wish you hadn’t posted this 'cos I’ve got other plans today and the Wx forecast is rain :frowning:

OTOH, tent and and Antron packed, I’m off for a bog trot up to Gun G/SP-013 about 1200z.

Gotta have a piece of this…

Don`t forget your palm paddle Mike.

It`ll come in handy for navigating the boggy conditions.

Right, that’s a new keyboard from you please. This one is covered in coffee!

In reply to 2E0YYY:

I’m giving you fair warning Mickey, any of this Alsaka, Easter Island, Fiji nonsense on any band, especially on 12m will result in my extreme displeasure!
I’m not having people having fun when I’m stuck in an office and have to write/design an API for USB3 virtualisation.

Early retirement does have its benefits Andy, TO2R and HS0 already on 10m this morning…not bad with a cheeky wee dipole! Operating A47RS next week (not SOTA unfortunately)…

Cheers

He deserves it, 10 miles away in Buxton it`s been raining 5 hours non stop (as usual).

In reply to G1INK:

He deserves it

Indeed he does, I’ve been dialing 0800-HITMAN4HIRE all afternoon but it’s engaged!

Just a rig check Steve

Got him first call. He had no pile up and no takers. He gave up and QSY’d. Looks like the big guns with beams just couldn’t hear him. The vertical seemed to be in the driving seat, today.
