This may be common knowledge but work starts on Monday to one of the Lake District’s most popular high-level paths. The route from Striding Edge up to Helvellyn’s summit is being worked upon. Delays and diversions are likely for the next five weeks. The helicopter stone drops will be kept to a minimum though.
