HELP! Strange SWR problem

Hi James,
I have confirmed with a local user of a Cobweb antenna system that they are subject to stretching and are affected by water on the wires. Both take the resonant point lower but at least once the water has been shaken off or evaporated you should be back to the initial state.

Great thanks. I’ve just checked again & it seems to be back where it was.

I didn’t think that a bit of rain would have that much effect!

Hello friend
What type of yarn did you use for the elements?
Copper wire loses properties and stretches.
Need to tie one end and stretch the thread a little. So he gets hard, creates “memory” and doesn’t stretch anymore.
This is typical for square-cube antennas. Where the wires are “embarked”.
