GW/SW-041 Black Mountain

Bank Holiday Monday 31st October was going to be my 3rd activation of the Black Mountain and testing of my new 2M 6 Element yagi and my new light weight 40/30m EFHW.
It was not a bad day weather wise for a for a Bank holiday, we arrived at the Hay Buff car park at 10;10 am UK local time and made a start for the summit.

Istarted with 2M FM and made a few S2S’s then I wanted to try the new Yagi horizontal on SSB and made a QSO into Ireland so was very happy with my 5 watts (FT 817).

After a short time I tried out the new light weight EFHW and it worked really well so was very happy.

Hi Paul

Thanks for the s2s yesterday and the nice qso later in the day. Well done on your home brew beam and I hope it didn’t suffer any damage when the little one knocked it over…a good test of it’s build quality :grinning:
