I took a look at it Gerald - but the database says its 5869.7km from my home QTH so I might have to give it a miss.

In reply to G7LAS:
The database doesn’t know where it is actually. Well it knows an NGR. I need to persuade it to use Lat/Long etc. All to do with the UK associations being so old they predate assumptions the codebase makes.

Delightfully NW-077 is for this week only on the equator and the Greenwich Meridian. One day I’ll activate Yr Eifl, Carn Fadryn and Mynydd Anelog [stress on the e - being a spoil sport here] in a day.
Go on Gerald - sprint for the top!

Wayne,
Well done in bagging this one. I didn’t hear you at all, just saw the spot some time later.
We will be heading for N Wales in a week or two so hope to speak then.

hi mike…yes thanks always a pleasure to work you as you have a good signal…lots of qrm and the contest stations.i did try 20m but could not get a spot anywhere to work, absolutely terrible.but thanks again, was enjoyable beating anyone else to get the first activation hihi.take care 73’s.
In reply to 2W0WDS:
Hi Wayne, thanks very much.
If a non SOTA person has a contact (eg. 20M today)with you ask them to put you on the DX-cluster - a lot of chasers monitor this.
Of course any SOTA chaser should spot you on SOTA here.
For your next activation I suggest ES/ES-001,002 and 003 8))
Thunderstorm about to arrive so all plugs pulled 8(
Best wishes

In reply to 2W0WDS:
Well done Wayne. I should have got out of bed a bit earlier. I didn’t see you as I was going up. Despite parking next to you.
I suspect I may at least have managed the first chase/activate after speaking to you on 2m before going to the top.

In reply to MW0WML:
I look forward to eventually activating that one, its in a lovely little group of hills that I explored in pre-SOTA days (looking for climbable rock!) and is possibly the oldest SOTA summit on the Welsh mainland as it is on an inlier of Pre-cambrian rock. Just think, when the summit rocks were deposited the Earth didn’t have a breathable atmosphere and the day was about 20 hours long!
