GW/NW-010 today

Thanks for all the contacts today. Had quite a surprise with the mini pile up on 20m. Weather was sunny but I knew it would be very windy so just took a 26’ wire (KX1) and propped it up on a short pole whilst hunkered down beneath some rocks looking towards the EU. I was therefore very pleasantly surprised to hear N1EU at 599, I wasn’t expecting that! Only one S2S and that was with HB9BCB/P on HB/AI-012.

I then went on 2m but discovered the centre pin had snapped off on my SMA adapter plug (second time now) so only had the rubber duck antenna to use, so apologies if anyone was waiting for me on 2m.
It was getting quite cold by then so I packed up and enjoyed the views for a while over a cup of coffee.

This was my first outing with my new boots, Scarpa Ranger 2 GTX Activ Fit. I was quite pleased with them, very comfortable.

If anyone worked me as GB10SOTA a couple of years ago and would like a QSL card, just send me an email with the QSO details and I’ll send you one via the buro, no need to send a card.
