If you are coming to Northern Ireland and thinking of working SOTA then note that we are experiencing what the fire service has called an “unbelievable” number of gorse and grassland fires. It would appear that all mountain areas have some fires however the Mourne area is worst hit. On my recent activation of Croob, GI/MM-010, I came across two grass fires. This is the price we pay for good weather.
