GM-Trip by MM/HB9BIN

Dear Sota Activators and Chasers
From 4th to 9th August 2013 I will be QRV from GM. It will be holiday activation because my YL likes to see the Highland Games and join the Whisky-Trail. If I survive the Whisky-Trail, I will try to activate GM/CS-112 Beinn Mhor, GM/ES-057 Little Conval, GM/WS-266, GM/WS-229 Carn Mhic an Toisich (First activation). If the weather will be beautiful, we try GM/WS-001 Ben Nevis.
I will update this spot and upload the log at the end of the trip!

Hi Juerg,

Hope you and your XYL enjoy the trip to Scotland.

I look forward to working you during one or more of your SOTA activations if you do SSB mode. Hope the WX stays fine for you

Hello Juerg & F,

I am sure you will both have a nice time.

I am not sure what the midge activity is right now but I suspect that some will be waiting for you both! But I am told they are put off by alcohol in the blood 8)

Best wishes

Dear SOTA-Friends
For the very first time I had positive discussions at the airport. The security man who checked my handlaguagge was a ham!
He knew all abt Yaesu-Rig es lifepo-batteries. The only thing he did not know was SOTA!

Don’t know what happened to you on GM/ES-021 just now.
Big signal (599) and in the middle of a QSO you dropped to 529 and then nothing!
Lots of chasers waiting on the sidelines ? to themselves

Hallo Juerg
Ich wuensche euch interessante Ferien in GM-Land.
Whisky kann auch als Medizin eingenommen werden. Soll gut sein für SOTA-Activation.

Dear SOTA-Chasers
The wx was vy windy on GM/ES-021. The wind broke the connection of the coaxcabel on the Buddipole (no whisky problem). It took me a lot of time to find out what happend!
First I thought it was a flare! But then the wx was too windy and too cold fr my XL to start agn with QSO’S. She simply wanted to go down. I hpe to do better tmw with an Alexloop!
The log is uploaded!
