Julian passed away on Friday after a long illness. He was an occasional SOTA activator and founder of the WOTA award scheme. He was probably best known for his informative blog/website. A big loss to amateur radio, but much more so to his wife and family.
My condelences.
Wish Julian rest in peace and the best to his widow and family.

Oh this is so sad! But it was inevitable. My condolences go out to Olga and all family. I don’t know how many of you have followed his progress at http://onefootingrave.blogspot.co.uk/ I have followed every post.
One of my best friends with whom, in my working days, I travelled the world, has the same condition.
One day hopefully we will find a way to fix this awful disease - I just hope so.

So sorry to hear this. I spoke a few times with Julian before his condition became too severe for him to use the radio. His “one foot in the grave” blog was inspirational. Dignity in death personified.

Sorry to hear that Julian G4ILO is now silent key. I know he has been ill for 3 years and it has been good to work him from SOTA summits several times during this.

So sad to hear about Julian, I regularly followed his progress on his blog, more so when my own brother had the same terrible disease. My brother passed away in June and I’m sure Julian’s family and friends will miss him as much as we miss our brother.
Hope they can find a cure for this horrible disease soon
Rest in peace Julian.
