G/LD-042 Low Fell

Would like to thank all who worked me on Sunday.

It had been along time since I had been out on the fells so thought I would do this one, it was a cold day as on the top it was about -8 but did warm up when the sun came through, there was a lot of walkers out on this summit as it is a nice walk up easy to do.

I only managed to to do 5MHz as the battery went flat on me and did not carry another one I was using the 706 and when home looked at it and found I’d ran it on 100w so sorry for those who needed the summit and do not have 5MHz but will do it again on the other bands the next time I’m up in the Lakes.
I did have four s2s with G1INK/P NP-014,G4RQJ/P LD-034,G8HXE/P SP-002,MM0FMF/P GM/SS-056 so had a good day out.
And thanks to Frank RMD for putting me on the spots, and thanks again to all.

Hi Terry,

It’s IO81WV - think I added it to QRZ.com ;o)

I could have given you a SINPO report if you’d wanted - I’ll try to remember to do that in the future!

Look forward to your further SOTA activities!
