Readers on here will be well aware of my deep satisfaction with my Yaesu FT70D 2m/70cm FM/C4FM handheld.
But even I am stunned with how good it sounds at distance … this is me being received on Moel Hebog GW/NW-014 on the other side of Snowdonia. I was on Gun G/SP-013 and just using the FT70D with its rubber duck! The distance was 140km.
