I’m just coming to the end of re-decorating the hall, stairs and landing, and with the SFI rising rapidly I’d promised myself a day of Chasing. The bad news is that the station is closed up in safe mode: we had a spectacular thunderstorm a few hours ago and the radar shows another one rapidly approaching. Anyone for competitive thumb twiddling?
Frustration was the three hour journey to Coventry to give a talk last night (should have taken 1 hour 40 minutes).
Frustration was leaving to come home at 10pm and finding that one section of the M6 was down to one lane and 10 miles further on that a whole section was closed completely.
Since a six-hour 148-mile journey to Rishworth, near Rochdale, last October to attend the G-QRP Convention, I have vowed NEVER to travel on motorways on Friday afternoons/evenings again!
