The following information taken from my FEB-2019 SOTA news in Spanish and translated into English for the monthly news issue published in this Reflector, was sent to Fred @K6DGW last month for inclusion in his monthly issue but, for some unkknown to me reason, such issue never got published.
From my FEBRUARY-2019 news in Spanish
SOTA activators and activations carried out in Spain and the Spanish-American Countries in January-2019:
With the information available in the database, this is the graph of the activations and activators in Spain in January 2018.
EA8 takes the lead this month in number of activations, followed by EA2, EA3, EA1, EA5=EA6, EA7 and EA4. We haven’t got any activations from EA9.
Coincidentally, we’ve got exactly the same number of activations this month compared to the previous month.
This is the graph of the number of activations per month in 2019 and the averaged montly activations number in 2018.
Here’s a similar graph for the chasers and number of chases:
With the information available in the database, this is the graph of the activations and activators in the Spanish speaking American Countries with existing SOTA associations in January 2019.
We see 1 activation in KP4 Puerto Rico carried out by KP3RE and we also have 3 more activations from TI Costa Rica carried out by TI2AZ and TI2YO.
This is a very good news!
This is the graph of the number of activations per month in 2019 and the averaged montly activations number in 2018.
Seeing just 4 activations in one month might seem little in absolute terms, but we see it’s double of the averaged monthly number of activations in 2018, which seems relatively very good.
There’s no chasing activity in the database from any of these associations.
