Fond memories of sota

I recall activating Sharp Haw with a friend of mine in cold weather and Steve M0SGB calling in and asking if we were cold up there as my teeth were chattering so much I called ‘cq tosa’. Hey Steve, to this day I still havn’t had my toast!

As my last couple of threads (that were in no way offensive) got deleted I sit and wait to see if this one does too.

Ok, sounds good.

Lets go for Sun 31 Aug and Steve’s idea of a summit. I feel that the high and inaccessible summits would exclude some members of our community and so I would like to propose Easington Fell (G/SP-012). Why, simply it is a simple stroll to the, now absent, trig point; there is plenty of parking at the quarry; the roads are good and there is no GP that weekend.

The idea will be akin to the last crazy ideas but this will be a stupid hat and cream tea event. No stupid hat, no cream tea.

As for radio then maybe one station on HF and one on VHF to avoid any problems.

Lets see who is interested on here.

I am definately in for that, silly hat, and thats that !!

Would like to see the revival of the SOTA Pirates Myke, do you still have the confederate hat and pirate flag ? HI
