Did my first SOTA activation today along with G0VPS also his first. We went up onto Shining Tor and we really had some great contacts with some genuinely friendly chasers/activators who were very encouraging and helpful. It was a great buzz and the bug that I was warned may bite has started on me. Thanks for all the chasers and fellow activators for summit to summit also. Weather was good and the sun was on Shining Tor. I may just have to have my gear in the car, just in case I happen to pass a SOTA location in the future.

Well done Steve. Welcome to activating. You found out for yourself how addictive SOTA can be. You might not realise it now but you could find yourself up on Shining Torr in the depths of winter.
You will always meet friendly chasers on SOTA.
