Hi Rich,
It looks like you had a good day out and a successful one too. As others have mentioned above it does get addictive. I started last August doing a summit about every three weeks, last week I did three summits in a week !
I have found SOTA folk to be very encouraging and helpful throughout, both on SOTAwatch and on the radio.

Hi Richard
Well done - you are off to a flying start there - it took me 10 activations (including two failures) to reach 11 points …
Thanks for the S2S over to Mynydd Troed - there was certainly lots of activity on 2M that day and though I took the HF kit I could have easily qualified on 2M FM only.
Cheers
Rick
Very lucky indeed! Hopefully next time I will also be working HF! Thanks for the contact!

Great photographs and happy smiles Richard.
Congratulations on your first summit activation. I look forward to getting into your log.
Watch out, SOTA gets kind of addictive.
Hi Richard,
Well done on your first activation !!! & hope your son enjoyed it too (… mine did, but I think the picnic had more to do with it)
As mentioned on the Dischord channel, I was up Beacon Batch G/SC-003 and did listen out for you on 2m FM but couldn’t hear you (or any others for that matter!) so went onto 20m SSB instead and managed 19 QSOs with 4 s2s.
Do let me know when you are next out again.

Thanks. Looking forward to many more.
Absolutley. I may go up to Ivinghoe Beacon, just for some practice next week. Great line of sight and view there.
