For tomorrow I plan a hike to Wettersteinwand, OE/TI-606.
I will bring a HT for UHF / VHF, and the Mtr for 20/30/40.
Hope to meet you on the air!

I had to cancel the activation, about 100m below the summit.
It was too difficult for me to climb further.
Sorry!

Robert,
No need to sorry for a right decision which allows you to activate several other summits and even this one later when you feel yourself better prepared for that final climbing.
Safety ALWAYS first.
73,
Guru
Thanks Guru for your nice words.
You are completely right!
According to my GPS on my mobile, I was on about 2440 meters. This means I missed the summit by 45 meters, and the activation zone about 20m. Wow!
Here is a screenshot of my track:
And here I want to share a picture of Wettersteinwand (the summit on the upper right)

It must have been difficult crossing all those ridges. There is no shame in stopping if you did not feel comfortable, it shows you are a safe and mature person. I have done it a few times myself.
I found this which you may find helpful for your next attempt. It also has a GPX track. They seem to have followed quite a different route, maybe it can help.

I also climb mountains - without activating or a radio. Its a hard decision to turn back sooner rather than too late. Better safe than sorry - its just a good judgement!
Seems that the summit is now activated.
Congratulations to Stephan, DM1LE.
I am curious about the activation report.
