Today I did my first activation on the summit LA/NL-041 Dalsvagfjellet located on Donna Island (EU-062) about 60km south from the Arctic Circle.
The activation was done in a fantastic weather, the band was 20meter, not the best conditions but made a total of 36 contacts.
Equipment in use was the IC-703 (10watt) and the PAR End-fed dipole for 20m sloping down from a 9m high telescopic glass-fiber pole.
The activation was filmed and will be added on youtube later on.
Thank to everyone that called me today.

I didn’t see a spot for you on Sotawatch, but I happened to see one on a DX cluster, and I could hear the pileup.

Hello Gunnar, sorry but my activation this time was decided little in a hurry, I planed to spot myself on the SOTAwatch via my GSM but had no luck.
Activate 40m? yes why not, I’ll see what I can be able to put up from my next summit. I hope to activate three more summits from the island here this summer, next time I’ll leave an warning on SOTAwatch. Hope to catch you out there next time…

Yeah it’s not your fault there was no spot here, I just though it was strange that none of your chasers put one up. My so far only activation was without alerts too, since I didn’t know when or even if I would make the summit (this was during that surprise October snowfall last autumn).
