Hello , this a report of a special day, with the activation I did the 28th on the mountain I/AB-022 Monte Palombo 2013 mt I finally became Mountain Goat!!
Special day and beautiful excursion together with my son Emilio on this beautiful peak of the Abruzzo national park. We reached the top in about an hour and forty minutes of walking with about 5 km of trail.
On the summit I mounted my classic fishing rod to support a HWEF line connected to my Elecraft Kx3. In total 23 qso and two S2s using 20 and 30 meters ssb and cw.
To become Mountain Goat it took 180 Sota activations and 122 “unique” peaks but it was fantastic and I can’t wait to leave again for a new activation!!
