From my FEB-2020 news in Spanish
SOTA activators and activations carried out in Spain and the Spanish-American Countries in January-2020:
With the information available in the database, this is the graph of the activations and activators in Spain in January 2020.
We’ve got activations in all EA call areas with the exception of EA9.
EA2 is where we had the greatest number of activations to which contributed some activators arrived from EA4. Following are EA1, EA5, EA8, EA6, EA3 and EA7.
In EA1, among local activators, we also see contributors arrived from Portugal, EA2 and EA4.
In EA5, among the local activators, we see the contribution of an activator arrived from Belgium.
All activations in EA8 were carried out by colleagues arrived from abroad, i.e. Switzerland, Holland, Austria and Sweden.
Activations in EA6, among those by the local activators, counted with an important contribution by an activator arrived from the U.K. (Scotland).
Among the local EA3 activators, we also had the contribution of an activator arrived from Switzerland in this call area.
EA7 counted with a number of local activators and the contribution of activators arrived from Scotland and Switzerland.

This is the monthly graph for 2018, 2019 and 2020 along with the monthly average in 2018 and 2019.
We see the number of activation in January 2020 is almost 4 times that of January 2018.
Here’s the graph for the chasers and number of chases in Spain:
This is the greatest number of chases so far seen in EA in a single month.
The TOP 5 of the EA chasers this last month has been: EA2DT, EA7GV, EA2CKX, EA7YT, EA1DHB. We have 98 different chaser callsigns and we also see chases in EA8 for the first time. It’s a very good start and we encourage to all those not doing it yet to register and upload their chases onto the SOTA database.

With the information available in the database, this is the graph of the activations and activators in the Spanish speaking American Countries with existing SOTA associations in January 2020.
We see 14 activations in LU Argentina -11 of them in LUM (Mendoza), 2 in LUD (Buenos Aires) and 1 in LUQ (San Luis)- and 3 activations in HI Dominican Rep. Thank you activators!
This is the monthly graph for 2018, 2019 and 2020 along with the monthly average in 2018 and 2019.
We had not activations in January 2018 and January 2020 is over 4 times the number of activations in January 2019. Very impressive, bravo!
Regarding the chasing activity, we see 12 chases from LU, 6 in LUD, 4 in LUQ and 2 in LUM.
We keep encouraging those chasers not doing it yet to register and upload their SOTA chases to the database.

We didn’t see any chases in January 2019 and the number of chases this January 2020 is 4 times greater than the monthly average of 2019, which we see as a great start.
