I’ve somewhat fallen out of SOTA but did manage to momentarily resuscitate interest recently.

Here’s a couple of blog posts; one an activation and the second aspens in full bloom in the Eastern Sierra area of CA. Lots of snaps, skip the narrative for eye candy….

Paul, I have not heard of Trafton, but the photos of the Sierras west of Highway 395
are great! I used to work over in that area before I retired from the telegraph company and this time of year was beautiful. After work I’d drive up some of those roads up to the lakes just to look at the scenery and make a few mobile QSOs before hitting the hotel for the night. It was great!

Thanks John and agree the views in that area are spectacular. Trafton was hard work and I didn’t enjoy losing my phone.
