Last weekend I decided to active the never activated Montcelet F/MC-162.
Very nice walk, about 45 minutes up in 2 levels. It was very nice to walk through these anciant ruins dated from 1592.
This activation allowed me to test my new CW keyer with 2 memories (so I dont have to CQ by hand everytime), it worked great and it only weights 153grams. Keyer cw avec 2 mémoires d'appel
118 QSOs with 12 S2S
FT817 5W and jumper dipole (I added 17m wire 90º from the dipole but same feed and worked great).
Middle of the morning I was “attacked” by millions of small flies as you can see in the photos!
There are just so many of these lovely summits to activate all over France.
I’m badly missing my annual pilgrimage to my sister’s QTH outside Nîmes for some decent WX, coffee, wine and food along with SOTA too. But with COVID it probably wont be till Easter/ Pâques 2021 at the earliest till I visit. In the meantime please keep posting pictures of these summits and the French countryside.
Hey, I’ve been practising my French and knew what that meant with having to look up any words
